Hi Jon, I have been here for nearly a year now, working as a Market Researcher. My husband, mom and daughter are living with me. While we are happy as we are, I am also interested in meeting other Filipino families living here, primarily for my daughter 2.5 years old to have playmates. Can you refer me to Filipino communities here? Thanks!

Hi! I know this post has been here for a while now, and this is a very good source of information to those who may want to work and live in HK.

I would like to add some more info to the ones already listed:
1) Work for a company - You may also look out for job postings on the Internet or apply to a company based in HK which you are interested in. I applied for my current work through the internet, by sending application through a Market Research website. With the move of companies to globalize and their increasing openness to hire multinational talents in their organizations, ending up in a post here in HK is not as hard anymore.

I would also like to add that once you hailed a job and the company already processed your work visa, you may apply your immediate family for dependant visas. Immediate family members (i.e. spouse and children below 18 years old) can apply for dependant visa with you as the sponsor in the application. I am sure your company will be more than willing to provide the necessary documents required from them.

There you have it. I hope to see more Filipino families here in HK!
